HOW TO SURVIVE
THE PRESENT.
Privacy & storage

Your reading shelf
stays in your browser.

Saved guides and checklists stay in your browser. Email signups are stored separately to send you new guides.

What the site stores

When you save a guide or check a checklist item, the site stores that choice in localStorage on your device. It is not sent to a site database. Clearing this site’s browser data removes those choices. Your shelf does not automatically sync between devices.

Search and advertising

Guide searches run in your browser. This version has no third-party advertising code or analytics pixel. The hosting provider may process technical connection information to deliver and secure the website.

Email updates

If you join the email list, we collect your email address, the signup time, and the version of the consent wording you agreed to. Signups are stored in a database in our Cloudflare account and used to send you new guides. We do not sell this list or collect your dating preferences through the signup form.

After joining, you receive a private manage-signup link. Save that link or use the email preferences page on the same browser to remove your signup. We keep a copy of the private link in this browser so you can return to it. Removing your signup deletes the address from this list; hosting backups may retain a copy until they expire. Future update emails will include an unsubscribe link.

External sources

When you follow a source link, the destination website’s privacy practices apply. Source links are marked with an arrow.

Reset your reading data

You can remove the saved guides and checklist progress stored by this website on this browser.
